Students at PS 1M celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13th by promoting acts of kindness throughout the day. Every student went home with a stuffed teddy bear, donated by Bear Givers, and experienced the thrill and pride of bringing kindness to others. Each student designed their own teddy bear shirt and exchanged bears with each other as a courtesy of kindness. The day served as a reminder of the impact that kindness can have on individuals, communities, and the world. We encouraged everyone to perform acts of kindness on this day and every day.
UCS partners with PS 01M and the Lions Club International to bring joy to students at the start of the Holiday season. United Community Schools seeks partnerships with local organizations to enrich the lives of our students and change the lives of our students.
