Our parent coordinator, Ms. Cindy Lau, facilitates communication between home and school. She is available between 8:15am and 3:45pm and can be reached at 347-563-5079. She also assists with the 5th grade articulation to middle school process.
Our pupil personnel secretary, Ms. Linda Gim, ensures that all Department of Education regulations regarding student records are up-to-date. Please notify her in regards to all student-related documents: court documents, attendance, address changes, telephone information and student discharge request.
Our community-based social worker is Ms. Aicha Nadafi. Ms. Ann Yau assists in the office and is available for oral Chinese translation needs.
Our School Nurse, Ms. Susan Caputo, is responsible for student health records. If your child has special health needs and limitations (i.e. allergies, asthma) please provide a doctor’s note to your child’s teacher. This is very important since your child will be participating in a variety of physical education and recess activities. Medications must be administered by an adult. Students are not allowed to take medication during the school day. If medication is necessary, please inform the nurse. With your permission, your child’s medication may be kept on hand in school (i.e. asthma, inhaler). However, you must submit a form annually and provide the medication.
